How to Get a Job in Moscow
1. Registration
Click on ‘Registration’ on this website. Please fill in all the necessary information and attach your CV and a few recent photographs for your presentation sheet: face seen clearly, no sunglasses, smiling, no heavy make-up, preferably no other adults, photographs of you with children are good. To be registered as a Nanny, you need to have a formal childcare qualification. To be registered as a Governess, you need to have a university degree.
2. Interview in London
Our Consultant will be happy to answer any questions about our vacancies and how our Agency works, and of course about Moscow and Russia.
You should come in smart office attire. Because of the large distances involved, we always make a short video clip (2-3 minutes) of our Candidates.
Please bring the relevant documents (originals) with you: passport, driving licence, proof of your qualifications, any written references, etc. An enhanced CRB disclosure (or criminal record check where appropriate) is essential. All these, combined with your CV, video clip and our Consultant’s report, will be presented to the Client.
3. Interview with Client and Tour of Moscow
If the Client would like to meet you after seeing your presentation, you may be invited to fly to Moscow for 2-3 days for an extended interview with the family. We will meet you at the airport and take you to our staff flat or hotel after your flight. Our Deputy Director will take you to the Client’s house in the morning and supervise the first meeting. Then we will show you around Moscow , after which you will go back to the staff flat or hotel. Assuming all went well during the initial meeting, you will return to the Client’s house the next day and spend a day with the child(ren). The following day you will fly back to London so both you and the Client can make a decision. All travel expenses will be paid by the family. The visa for a short trip will take 2-3 working days. Candidates from further afield will be invited for a skype webcam interview.
4. Paperwork
If you and the Client wish to work together, we will draw up a Contract and help negotiate the terms. We will make sure that both Parties sign the Contract before you fly to Moscow again. Your visa will take 5-15 working days.
5. Arrival – the start of your Post Placement Support
You will start your contract with a 1 month trial period. As soon as you arrive in Moscow you will start benefitting from our Post Placement Support.
